Let’s go straight to the point. There are many people who hate exercising. Yes, they are not simply too busy or too lazy to work out. These are the people who just don’t like exercising. Not totally despising a healthy living, they are those who won’t choose exercise over their other “priorities” in life.
If you are one of those people, let’s talk. Exercising is nothing to hate. Even if you don’t think that it’s for you, don’t close the doors of your heart to still consider exercising. Why? Because it is one of the most important things to do while you live. Regular exercise is vital for the body to be healthy, inside and out. It rejuvenates your physical body and uplifts your mental well-being. Many of the wonderful feelings in the world can be collectively achieved through working out. It’s something to truly love!
Here are 6 love-filled tips for those who hate exercising!
1 – Do workouts you can do while ENJOYING.
Undeniably, there are workouts that are too intense or too complex for some people. Often, this is what comes to mind; that’s why many think of exercising as a heavy responsibility. They imagine themselves lifting weights or doing a hundred pushups. The thought of them in the middle of a boxing workout or a set of Tabata squats are already sapping their energy.
These are not the only styles of workouts though, so do not let that idea be an excuse to hate exercising. After all, any kind will actually tire you out but in the best way there is!
To get yourself to become driven and excited, do workouts you can do while enjoying yourself! A precious charm of working out is that you can select the kinds of exercise routines that you prefer. You can customize them as you please. According to what makes you feel happy and comfortable (but not so much), exercise!
2 – Use your FAVORITE music.
This may fall under one of the hacks to make exercising delightful for those who hate exercising, and it’s here for more emphasis! Use your favorite music. For your yoga exercises, you may use your go-to relaxation songs. For your dance exercises, there surely are tons of song options, and they can totally hype you up!
Utilizing songs that hold a very special place in your heart will make exercising feel like playing a fun game. You might forget that you’re working hard because you are grooving on like nobody’s business. Music indeed helps humans in numerous ways, and in this case, it evokes interest and enthusiasm to exercise.
3 – Exercise with your friends and other LOVED ones.
You have probably met people who are shy or embarrassed to exercise alone; some find it weird to do it while other people are around, like inside a gym. But change their mind by accompanying them to exercise together!
Exercising with family, friends or other loved ones is a valuable way to bond. Amidst your busy, bustling personal schedules, working out alongside each other is like hitting two birds with one stone: You all get to be healthy and to catch up on each other’s lives! You can play and do workout challenges – with special prizes – to make the physical exercises super lively, interactive and recreational. On another note, this proves that exercising is wholesome for social health and relationships as well.
Even when you hate exercising, you will love it with the people you love!
4 – Think about your health GOALS.
In life, there really are things, mostly tasks, that tire us out and make us want to just let it go and give up. But in many of those, what keeps you going for the longest time? Your goals.
That also applies in working out. Whenever you do not have any amount of determination for it, recall your health goals. They do not need to be “achieving the vital statistics of a beauty queen” or “gaining abs like a seasoned gym trainer’s”. They do not need to focus on the external results. Health goals also include making your heart healthier, fighting immense physical inactivity and/or developing a better mental health among many others.
With goals set in mind, your heart can shoo the hatred away! Because you will do it for yourself as you love yourself, you can do it.
5 – Choose a useful workout space you find MOTIVATING.
The workout space has something to do with your motivation for exercising. When you don’t like the area available, it’s like a complete “I’m sorry” that you give to exercising itself. You conclude that there’s no other way but “No.”
Choose an area that’s spacious enough to accommodate your workouts. If your house is not that big, know that you can also exercise in a small space because not all routines require you big movements and large exercise equipment. On the other hand, if you really see that it’s impossible for you to work out at home, consider an affordable gym session. For sure, you won’t have any excuse if it’s already a workout gym that you’re in.
6 – REWARD yourself after working out.
It’s common for kids to do what they are told to do after promising them prizes. They will sleep in the afternoon, believing you will allow them to watch their favorite cartoon as soon as they wake up. They will finish their homework early because you said you will take them to the park if they do that.
For adults, it’s the same. Exclude illegal acts, of course. There are things you don’t want to do because you’re lazy or you just hate doing them, but with rewards waiting if you accomplish them, you give them a chance. Agree with yourself that you will reward yourself or treat yourself after successfully beating the “hatred towards exercising” allegations. Your payoff could be scrumptious food, a whole-night of watching your favorite series, or sleeping! Whatever it is, look forward to giving it to yourself. Doing so can help augment your eagerness to work out!
And even if your eyes are on the prize, you will soon realize that it’s actually very advantageous to exercise regularly. You will soon do it yourself without needing to bribe yourself, because you will enjoy and love exercising without it!

NO HATE. JUST LOVE.
It’s time to love giving yourself some love through exercising! For whatever reason you don’t find it fun or good for you, I hope you realize that its objectives are all for your sake. You will experience fantastic, healthful changes in your life once you give time to admire exercising regularly.
Exercise with no hate, just love, like the ones written above!
