Different varieties of plates are useful in various applications, pieces of machinery, and business sectors. All of the various plate types are offered in a wide range of designations, specifications, standards, ranges, alloys, grades, and other characteristics. Our Eckhardt steel & Alloys, however, have long been the most popular plate on the domestic and international markets, regardless of type or alloy. The carbon steel plates that adhere to NACE and HIC standards are essentially included in the NACE & HIC range of plates. These plates are highly valued for their sturdy design and capacity for durability under most conditions. On the other hand, these plates are frequently used in welded pressure vessels because these vessels need to be exceptionally tough, and our BOILER PLATES are ideal for that.
NACE HIC BQ Steel Plate Specification:
Grade: NACE and HIC Boiler and Pressure Vessel Steel Plates
Width: 1000mm-4500mm
Thickness: 5mm-150mm
Length: 3000mm-18000mm
Supply Condition: As Rolled, Normalized Rolling, Furnace Normalizing, Vacuum Degassing, Simulated Post-Weld Heat Treatment or as per customer requirement.
Impact tested: 52° C
Tempering: Notch toughness can be improved by quenched cooling from hot rolling or normalizing by the supplier. If such a faster cooling rate is agreed upon between purchaser and supplier then the steel is also to be tempered at 1200 F.
Applications: Used for weld fabrication of pressure vessels that require improved notch toughness for lower than ambient temperature service.
Process of Manufacturing: Hot-Rolled (HR)
Our boiler plates also have greater strength qualities, such as higher tensile strength, higher yielding strength, higher mechanical strength, etc., in addition to these attributes. It is, therefore, best suited even for conditions of high temperature because of all these properties. Additionally, it is a very dependable plate with a long lifespan, amazing uniform surface, resistance to environmental factors, ease of fabrication, superior formability, simplicity of installation, etc. Dephosphorization and an electric arc furnace are both used in the process of creating these plates. It has corrosion resistance, pitting and crevice resistance, oxidation resistance, chloride stress, and cracking corrosion resistance, among other resistance qualities. Our Eckhardt steel & Alloys are employed in a variety of applications including condensers, heat exchangers, sea water hardware, gas preparation, control age, petrochemical, and oil digging organizations.
The HIC steel supplier, which has been specially created for the fabrication of pressure vessels for the management of sour gases, is known as the steel for sour-gas-resistant pressure vessels. Its resistance to hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC) is a benefit made possible by a very unique production process. Extreme cleanliness and the creation of a uniform structure are given special consideration during the steelmaking process. HIC resistance is ensured throughout the plate via a carefully controlled rolling process, followed by normalizing and stress-relieving annealing following manufacturing.
