Stainless Steel 410 Round Bars are general-purpose stainless steel with 11.5% chromium. They exhibit good corrosion resistance, allowing them to be used in the most contaminated situations. SS 410 is corrosion-resistant to some foods, chemicals, water, and air. Additionally, adequate resistance to nitric acid concentrated sulfuric acid, diluted acetic acid, and naphtha is shown. With stainless steel 410, strong mechanical characteristics and corrosion resistance are attained through hardening and tempering. These Stainless Steel 410 Round Bar are suitable for usage in a variety of applications, including dental and surgical equipment, vehicle parts, and more.
Excellent mechanical characteristics of the SS 410 grade include a tensile strength of 65,000 MPa, yield strength of 30,000 MPa, and an elongation of 20%. They are well suited for severely stressed sections and exhibit outstanding ductility and good corrosion resistance. In continuous operation, 410 exhibits strong scaling resistance up to 650 degrees Celsius. Its use at these higher working temperatures, however, causes a pronounced reduction in tensile strength and hardness with matching increases in ductility.
Corrosion resistance in grade 410 is higher than in grade 416 but lower than in grade 431. even more compact than the majority of austenitic stainless steels from the 300 series and all ferritic stainless steels from the 400 series. It is not advised to use it in the annealed state since its corrosion resistance is at its maximum in the hardened and tempered state. Machines of grade 410 are considered to be easily machinable for all operations, including spinning, milling, reaming, etc., and are capable of being carried out in accordance with the recommendations of machine makers for the necessary type of tool, feeds, and speed.
