Kuari Pass Trek Itinerary:
Day 1:
In the morning, depart from Dehradun and travel to Karnaprayag. Take in the scenery along the journey and arrive in Karnaprayag by late afternoon. We’ll make an effort to attend the aarti on the banks of the Alaknanda River. We have an evening introductory meeting with the appropriate Trek leader, so we’ll make sure we there before then. At Karnaprayag, stay in a hotel/lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2:
We begin our journey from Karnaprayag to Dhak village, where we will begin our hike. Dhak village is about a four-hour journey away, offering stunning vistas of peaks such as Dronagiri and others. We get ready to start the walk from the village at 11 a.m. It’s amazing to see lush pastures, dusty pathways, and a Himalayan settlement (Karachi and Tugashi Village). After that, we arrive at our first campsite for lunch at approximately 3 p.m. At the campsite, we had dinner and stayed the night.
Day 3:
Today’s trail has a steady ascent. We stroll through woodlands of oak, rhododendron, and pine. Khullara is a wide open meadow with views of nearby peaks such as Dunagiri, Hathi, and Ghodi.
Day 4:
We start trekking uphill towards the pass after an early breakfast. When we come to a crest, we cross it and turn left. The path takes us away from the pass and to our right. We stop here for a while before returning the same way till we reach the ridge. Rather than walking down to Khullara, we walk along the ridge to Taali from here. We arrive to Chitrakantha, a little hillock with a flag. We get there from here. This location offers breathtaking panoramic views. Chaukhambha, Neelkanth, Mana, Hathi, Ghodi, and Dunagiri are among the peaks visible. We turn around and stroll down the other side to our campsite. Taali is nestled deep within the forest and is completely surrounded on all sides.
Day 5:
In the Rishi Ganga River, Auli is a ski resort. Pick and eat an early breakfast for a round of routine exercise as we follow the downhill trail alongside the Rishi Ganga River to reach Joshimath via a motorable road. We then return to Karnaprayag and spend the night in a hotel or lodge there.
Day 6:
After breakfast, we go from Karnaprayag and arrive at Dehradun in the early evening.
