Agra – The Cosmopolitan Food Culture
Someone correctly stated, “Food for the body is insufficient.” There has to be something for the soul.” With this in mind, I’ll recommend the best places to eat in Agra for traditional Indian food, where you may get delightful food that not only satisfies your hunger, but also your soul. I exclusively examined non-touristy restaurants and food places that do not serve costly imitations of true Indian cuisine, as opposed to those that are commonly listed in guidebooks and online websites.
Must Go Restaurants in Agra!!
Bon Barbecue
This freshly renovated restaurant has quickly become the number one pick for tasty food that won’t break the bank. The approach is fantastic, since you get limitless portions of appetisers before beginning your Buffet meal. The rates for the vegetarian and non-vegetarian buffets are fixed, and there are numerous selections. This is the chain’s second restaurant, following the already well-known Pinch of Spice Restaurant. Foodies should not miss this restaurant, which is located in the basement of Hotel Parador, near Shanti Manglick Hospital on Fatehabad Road.
Pinch of Spice
This is a non-touristy multi-cuisine restaurant with a bar and a gentle white design that gives refinement to the surroundings. The best part is that when you finish your delectable meal, they serve a cool mouth-freshening drink, which effectively completes the full dining experience.
They have everything from Indian Mughlai to Chinese to a few Italian products. The disadvantage is that on weekends, there is frequently an hour-long wait. But if you can wait it out, you will not be sorry. Don’t go for a buffet lunch or supper because, while it may appear cheap on the menu, it lacks a range of good items.
Pind Baluchi
This is a new restaurant in the Pind Baluchi chain, which has locations throughout India. The inside is extremely appealing because it is created in the charming backdrop of an Indian Punjabi village. The servers, dressed in colourful Punjabi kurtas and patialas, complete the village look. You also eat with traditional steel utensils, which are ubiquitous in Indian households. They serve traditional North Indian cuisine, and I highly recommend their delightful rejuvenating North Indian drinks, such as aam panna, Banta, and Jaljeera, which make excellent appetisers. Aside from being delicious, the cuisine here is well-cooked and homely, with little to no oil or fat.
Sai Khandela
This multi-cuisine restaurant is located in a prime area, Sadar bazaar. The dominant blue colour gives the room a royal appearance, and the lovely paintings on the walls undoubtedly add to the ambiance. There are numerous selections available, and the meal is superb and will delight your taste buds.
This is an excellent alternative if you want to go shopping and eat dinner before calling it a day.
Engrossing Local Markets
This restaurant is part of Hotel Samovar and is located just beside Pinch of Spice. This is a nice choice for individuals who do not want to wait in line at Pinch of Spice. The calm white décor serves as a peaceful backdrop. I also had the opportunity to take a photo with the chef, who, to my surprise, was pretty young.
This is also a multi-cuisine restaurant with delicious meals and several alternatives. Prices are comparable to pinch of spice but nothing out of the ordinary.
Mama Franky House
This used to be a highly popular Agra cuisine joint located in the prime position of Sadar market and is still pretty affordable. There are plenty of non-vegetarian alternatives, ranging from Indian rolls to BBQ. It allows you to eat outside while listening to loud songs. Over the years, the service has slowed and there is a significant wait before you may feast.
Dasaprakash
This restaurant delivers traditional South Indian cuisine as well as a few Continental dishes. Although it provides continental fare such as lasagna and Mexican pizza, it is best known for its South Indian cuisine. It offers a comfortable cubicle-style seating configuration. Although it is regarded a little costly by Indian standards, it is not by Western standards.

There is no reason to be concerned about staying in Agra. There are various places spend your leisure time there.

Conclusion
All of the eateries listed above were chosen following extensive study and anonymous tastings of various dishes. I have no link or involvement with any of the restaurants named above, and all of the reviews were conducted without compensation. This advice is based on my own list of favourite restaurants for visitors visiting Agra who have no idea where to locate authentic Indian cuisine and frequently end up in overly touristic restaurants that serve pricey and boring imitations of Indian cuisine.
