I have been in the fashion industry for more than 20 years, I have had people seek my advice on what to wear and how to go about wearing it, which trends to purchase and what’s extremely out of style.
As someone who primarily appreciates clothes for their self-expression and its capacity to represent the wearer and let the world know how the person feels I’m never one to dictate anyone what you should dress, or to enforce any rules. For me, as concerned, dressing the way you like and the way you feel you is the only essential thing to do.
There are couple of tricks, tips and hacks I’ve learned over the years. From the necklace that raises basic items to the benefits of regular clearing-outs and changing room principles (‘thou should not buy on impulse’), they help me in buying things or making an outfit at the beginning of the day, regardless of whether I’m working from home or getting ready to step back to a new and brighter world following lockdown.
1.) Keep It Simple
Learn from the top – From Sade and Coco Chanel. According to Mademoiselle Chanel once stated”Before leaving the home, take a look in the mirror and remove one thing.’ A “base” of things can help.
Every person will have their own interpretation of what this means, but white shirts and a nice cashmere sweater (try COS) and a well-cut trench are excellent investments. I have worn them often and again.
2.) The Fit Is Everything
Do you know the woman who is always dressed to impress? It’s easy to see that her clothes are a good fit. Contrast that with clothing that doesn’t fit such as a sloping hemline, an over-tight polo-neck, for instance – could make a difference in the first impression. Also buy hoodie and jogger set.
Paying close attention to the fit is an effective way to give your home a polished look. Be sure to:
- A seam on a t-shirt is a bit higher than your shoulder.
- A skirt zips up easily.
- The back of your shoe is where a shoe will meet. of your heel.
These aren’t obvious, but these little items make a big difference. A skilled tailor is your best friend in this situation. I frequently purchase items and alter them by Rosario Tailoring in Savile Row.
3.) Find a Graphic T-Shirt that expresses how You Feel
Graphic T-shirts could be the ultimate sartorial statement , whether you’re expressing your musical preferences (a Beychella T-shirt) or recent boxsets (a “La” T-shirt from Philip Normal).
Choose organic cotton if you can to ensure that your clothes are long-lasting and sustainable. If you’re new to this type of dress Don’t assume that graphic T-shirts can’t be worn by wearing a plaid dress and sneakers. The celebrities like Kendall Jenner and Emily Ratajkowski enhance their outfits by wearing high-waisted pants as well as ankle-high boots.
