If you’ve completed Chapters 1 and 2 of Poppy Playtime but still have some unsolved questions, this article will answer them everything.
Poppy Playtime Chapter 1 Story
In Poppy Playtime Chapter 1, players discover the abandoned Playtime Co. Toy Factory. The company manufactured Poppy and other toys. Players assume the role of a former Playtime Co. employee who returns to the plant to inspect it.
The toy factory, however, closed 10 years ago. It had since been abandoned. But it’s not due to a business failure or bankruptcy. The Playtime Co. Toy Factory has been shuttered indefinitely due to employees coming in to work only to never leave. Furthermore, the person player’s power is limited to the toy component because they received a letter from the staff that vanished ten years ago.
And, while the children’s toys appear to be innocuous, the first chapter shows that they are actually experiments. This implies that the toy factory’s missing employees are turned into these lethal toys. However, the Poppy Playtime developers have yet to confirm anything, so these are simply wild guesses at this stage. If that is the case, it is not impossible. The VHS tapes players gather during their adventure through the horror-filled facility disclose a lot about the Playtime Co. Toy Factory’s mysteries.
Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 Story
The events of the Poppy playtime chapter 2 immediately take up where the game left off in Chapter 1. The player returns to the factory, but this time in a different section. Elliot Ludwig’s office is located further within the factory. We learn in the opening chapter that he is the creator of Playtime Co. Toy Factory. Poppy then appears to the player once again and offers a way out of the factory as a thank you. This is cut short when an arm emerges from the darkness and kidnaps Poppy.
When you see Poppy again, you notice Mommy Long Legs holding Poppy in one of her flexible hands. She promises the train codes in exchange for escaping the factory. The player must, however, accomplish three challenges in the Game Station. Furthermore, Mommy Long Legs threatens the player with death if the challenges are not completed. Musical Memory, Whack-a-Wuggy, and Statues are three of them.
The first two (scary) games can be won. However, the third game is rigged. The player must navigate a maze while the lights are turned off. Furthermore, PJ Pug-a-Pillar follows them and grows closer if they move when the lights are on. The only way out of the maze is to find safety. However, after the player has completed the maze, the game is over. The player grapples their way into the observatory above to escape PJ Pug-a-Pillar. Mommy Long Legs is enraged because she believes the gamer is a “cheater.”
