Designing A Website Is Not An Easy Task. Here Are Some Things To Consider When Designing Your Own Website
There are many things to consider when designing a web page. Read on to learn more about them!
The design of a website has a lot to do with how well it will perform in search engines. It also affects how people interact with the site. Here are some things to think about when designing a website.
Choose a Theme That Suits You.
If you’re not sure what theme to choose, start by looking at themes that other websites use. Then, check out the features of each one. Finally, pick the one that looks good to you. I use WordPress to design all my sites both personal and business and you can access some amazing themes for free.
Create an About Us Page.
You should also make sure that your website has an “About us” page. This will give visitors a chance to learn more about who you are and why people should care about your business. It will also help search engines find your site easier. Did you know that the ‘about us/me page’ is the second most visited website page after the home page?
Include Contact Information.
Make sure that your contact information is easy to find. If you use social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, etc., then you can add links to those pages. Also, make sure that your phone number and email address are easily found. Don’t go to all the trouble of building a website and then hide your contact details. Get them top right hand and above the fold.
Add Social Media Links.
You should also add social media links to your website so that people can share your content with others. This will help you gain new followers and fans. Knowing which social media channels to use is tricky. The Big Four (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube) have a huge impact on the online world. They are used by billions of people every day, and they have an immense amount of data about their users. Therefore, it is important to integrate them into your web design. They provide a lot of opportunities for you to engage with your audience and increase customer loyalty.
Write Great Headlines.
If you write headlines that are too short, people won’t read them. They will assume that there isn’t much content inside. However, if you write headlines that are longer than necessary, people will skim through them without reading them completely.
