- Close QuickBooks Point of Sale.
- Press the Windows Start button and type in services.msc into the search box, and then press Enter.
- Find Intuit Entitlement Service and QBPOS Database Manager and configure it:-
- Double-tap on Intuit Entitlement Service vX.
Note:- Select the highest version if there is more than one number version.
- Choose Automatic from the Startup Type field on the General tab, and ensure the Service status is Started.
- Now go to Log On Menu.
- Choose Local System Account and Allow Service to Interact with Desktop.
- Just for Intuit Entitlement Service only:-
Select Restart the Service from the First, Second, and Subsequent failures fields on the Recovery menu.
- Tap on Apply and press OK.
- Now rerun the company file.
Solution 2: Restore a Backup
If your current QBPOS file isn’t opening up, try restoring a backup and using that. These are the steps you need to follow:-
- Run Point of Sale and go to the Start Company screen.
- Tap on Create new company and click on Next.
- Type Test in the Company Name field and then click on Create.
- Open the Test File.
- Now go to the File tab and choose Company operations. Then click on Next.
- Choose Open existing company and then click on next.
